Children's services includes regular Early Literacy Classes for all ages, summer reading programs, 1000 Books before Kindergarten, and other reading programs. The creative Play area includes Legos, puppets, costumes, and more for fun interactive learning.

Hunter Education

Indiana Hunter Education Courses will provide instruction in the areas of safe firearm use and handling while hunting, as well as in the home, hunter ethics and responsibility, game identification, and conservation management. Anyone born after December 31, 1986 is required to be certified in Hunter Education before they can purchase a hunting license. In order to be certified, students must attend the entire class including all sessions.

Children under age 11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  All persons aged under 18 must turn in a completed Liability Release form, signed by a parent or guardian, at first course session.

Gale Courses. Interactive Learning

Gale Courses offers a wide range of highly interactive, instructor led courses available online through the library. Any library cardholder in good standing is entitled to take these courses at no cost. Approximately 300 six-week sessions are available with new sessions beginning each month.
